Ruth and James welcome you to Cumbria House, a beautiful period property combined with modern conveniences. Cumbria House offers self-catering and room-only breaks in the centre of Keswick, close to all the local amenities and at the doorstep of the dramatic Northern Lakes. We have everything you need to make your stay special including private off-street parking, en-suite rooms with spectacular views, open fireplaces, bike storage and drying room. Many hikes are easily accessible from the house such as Catbells and the Newland fells, the Skiddaw Mountains and Latrigg. Cumbria House is available for exclusive use on a self catering basis for up to 15 people; perfect for large group accommodation in the Lake District. In addition to the 8 bedrooms there are 2 lounges, a large well equipped kitchen, large dining room and a utility room; ideal for families and groups.

Cumbria House has eight bedrooms over three floors with stunning views of the iconic Newlands Fells, Skiddaw and Blencathra. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. We have an extensive breakfast menu using local, seasonal, and Fairtrade ingredients and specialising in vegetarian and vegan options.
Cumbria House provides the best of both worlds; an elevated position on a quiet street with stunning views, yet only two minutes walk from Keswick market square. We are opposite the beautiful St John’s Church, overlooking the Newlands Fells. The lake is ten minutes walk from the house, and several longer walks can be started straight from the house.
