Cumbria House Self-Catering
Cumbria House is a Georgian-style Victorian property with stunning views of the dramatic northern Lake District, yet is only two minutes’ walk from Keswick town square.
Facilities
We have private off-road parking for seven cars, and facilities for all weathers. We have cosy lounges and a log fire, a large utility room, a drying room, and a south facing patio. The bedrooms are furnished with fluffy towels, hand soaps and fresh white linen.
Kitchen and lounges
The large kitchen has all the appliances and cookware you need to create your family meals. In addition there is a supply of essentials such as tea & coffee, tea towels, dishwasher & washing up liquids. For those cosy indoor days our lounges have internet ready TVs featuring Netflix, BBC iPlayer, and Amazon Prime. Most importantly, there is super fast wifi which is boosted throughout the house.
For our youngest guests…
If you need any items for babies or infants just let us know and we can certainly leave these ready for you. We have a highchair, travel cot, toilet step, baby bath, along with plates and cutlery.
About
James and Ruth
We met while trekking in the Everest region of Nepal, and our passion for the outdoors continues in Keswick. Ruth is a keen photographer and open water swimmer, while James is an active member of Keswick Mountain Rescue, and enjoys mountain biking and fell running.

We both have a good knowledge of local hikes and trails. If you would like help in planning activities during your stay we can offer detailed information on the local area.
