Cumbria House Facilities...

• With single, twin, double and family rooms we offer very flexible accommodation. We have 8 rooms and can accommodate 13 guests.
  
  
• Individuals, families, groups and dogs (with well-behaved owners) are all welcome.
  Not all rooms have en suite facilities, but all have views of the fells, and the standard rooms have the double bonus of the best views and bath robes to cover your modesty in public areas!
  
  
• From the dining room look out over St John's Church to the Newlands Fells; where better to enjoy an individually-cooked breakfast with home-made rolls and Fairtrade fruit juice and tea or coffee.
  
  
• A comfortable lounge, a library of walking and climbing books and a roaring log fire (winter anyway); what better way to relax and recuperate from your exersions on the fells.
  
  
• In the summer sit on the sunlit patio and watch the world go by.
  
  
• We provide daily forecasts from the Lake District National Park Weatherline.
  
  
• We are only too happy to share our local knowledge and offer advice on suitable walks and cycle routes.
  
  
• Our packed lunches with home made cake are excellent value, and we'll fill your flask with tea, coffee, vegetable broth or hot chocolate for free.
  
  
• Private car park, secure bike storage and an efficient drying room for those rare wet days.
  
  
• We regret dinners are available for group bookings only, but there are plenty of good places to eat within a few minutes walk and we get no commission for our recommendations!
  
  
• Bed and Breakfast £26 (standard) or £32 (en-suite) per person per night, with reductions for longer stays and for children sharing the family room or Summit Suite with adults - and discounts of up to 5% for non-car use!
  
  
• We operate a no smoking policy.
